Fugro is the world leader in the provision of Airborne LiDAR Bathymetry (ALB) services, including the design and the manufacture of ALB systems used specifically for the purpose of Nautical Charting. Fugro also provides operational support and maintenance to customers and has pioneered the provision of ALB support services to government agencies since 1993.
Unique Experience and a Track Record:
Commencing in 1992, Fugro LADS Corporation is the long-term ALB services and support contractor to the Australian Hydrographic Service. Fugro LADS Corporation has developed and delivered the RAN LADS 1 and RAN LADS 2 systems and continues to provide important upgrades to meet new and emerging requirements.
Fugro has supported the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) to undertake over 2500 sorties, completing over 70 missions around the Australian coastline including the Great Barrier Reef and in Torres Strait and has worked with the Royal Australian Navy as their ALB survey partner. Fugro also provides a dedicated DHC-8-200 “Dash 8” aircraft to the RAN under this contract.
