Originally conceived by Australian government scientists in the 1980’s, Fugro LADS Corporation designed and developed their airborne LiDAR bathymetry technology in the early 1990’s for hydrographic survey of the Great Barrier Reef. International contract survey operations commenced in the late 1990’s. Fugro LADS Incorporated was opened in Biloxi, Mississippi in 2003 and the Dubai office was opened in 2006.
